Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about my pregnancy massage therapy service in Surfers Paradise (Chevron Island). Please contact me if you have any additional questions and / or you would like to make a booking.

Can I have a pregnancy massage in the first trimester?

While some massage therapists do not offer pregnancy massage to clients during their first trimester due to the increased the risk of miscarriage during this time generally, there is no actual scientific evidence that proves that massage therapy increases the risk of miscarriage.

As a massage professional with more than 20 years experience working with pregnant clients, I am open to offering massage treatments to pregnant women during their first trimester. Provided that you are healthy and all appears to be going well with your pregnancy, I am more than comfortable to offer you a nice, nurturing, and relaxing massage treatment during this time.

Beyond the first trimester I can offer you firmer, more tension relieving remedial massage treatments, in addition to giving you that nurturing, flowing touch of my Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, which is so deeply relaxing and so wonderful to receive during your pregnancy.

Do you have a special table for pregnancy massage?

Yes. I have my own custom-designed pregnancy massage table that will allow you to lay face down in safety and absolute comfort at any time during your pregnancy (even late-term). I also have pillows and towels available that I can place where needed to ensure you are safely positioned at all times and also to maximize your comfort during the massage. While most clients absolutely love being able to lay face down and enjoy deep rest and relaxation, some clients are more comfortable in a side-lying position. Either way I will do my best to give you a beautiful and blissful pregnancy massage experience that brings you soothing relief, rest, and rejuvenation.

Where is your practice located?

I am located in Somerset House in Suite L on the first floor at 57 Thomas Drive in Surfers Paradise, which is just over the bridge on the main street of Chevron Island.

Is there parking available on site?

While there isn’t a dedicated car park for clients, there is free 2-hour on-street parking on Thomas Drive as well as free parking in the Council car park located on Karloo Street.

What are your official business hours?
